Ethan Ackland is a dynamic composer, arranger, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from San Diego, CA. With a passion for music that ignited in early childhood, Ethan has seamlessly woven his talents into the fabric of both the concert and theatrical stage. A recent graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ethan emerged at the top of his class, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production. His time at Berklee was marked by accolades and high praise from both peers and professors, earning multiple awards and commendations for his exceptional musical prowess. Under the tutelage of virtuosic pianists Tim Ray and Russell Hoffmann, Ethan honed his craft and expanded his repertoire across a spectrum of genres.

 

Ethan's professional portfolio extends far beyond the confines of academia. With compositions and arrangements performed across the United States, from San Diego to New York, Ethan has established himself as a formidable force in the contemporary music scene. His writing expertise encompasses a diverse array of ensemble types, from the intricate orchestrations of musical theater to big bands, orchestras, and vocal groups. Ethan's meticulous attention to detail shines through his unparalleled skill in notation and music preparation, ensuring that every performance he works on is seamless.
